After nearly 20 years at their Wheelock Place venue, the esteemed Japanese eatery SUN with MOON has expanded with a new, more laid-back spot named SUN with MOON Light. Located in JEM, this means West-side residents can now savor Japanese kettle tea rice, known as kamameshi. This traditional dish features tasty rice cooked in a kelp and bonito stock, brimming with assorted toppings for a flavorful and varied experience.
Aside from their signature kamameshi, which comes with a range of toppings like Chicken Teriyaki and Beef Yakiniku, SUN with MOON Light offers the lavish Okemori Komachi Bento set. It includes six savory courses and a trio of petite desserts, catering to those who relish variety.
At SUN with MOON Japanese Dining & Café in Singapore, Chef Ken Otomo leads the kitchen with his mastery of Kansai cooking and Kyoto cuisine. With 32 years of culinary experience, Otomo brings his expertise to SUN’s contemporary dishes and seasonal specials.
Beginning his culinary journey in 1990, Otomo underwent four years of training at a prestigious Japanese restaurant in Yokohama, established during the Meiji era.
